Join both high school and undergraduate students in class to become immersed in college life and get a head start on your college career before finishing high school! In Summer College, you choose from CUA's freshman-level courses and take classes with college students.
Our program will help in your transition into higher education by allowing you to experience the pace and challenge of college courses under a guided and nurturing environment. Students will receive support from all of CUA's resources including the Writing and Counseling Centers.
Benefits:
• Credits earned at Catholic University this summer apply toward your college education. Choose from pre-requisite or distribution courses, which will later transfer and count toward your undergraduate degree.
• By taking a couple of classes at CUA this summer, you can reduce your first semester load in college. Your first semester in college is a time when you are adjusting to a new environment, as well as to the challenge of living away from home and still excelling in your studies. By taking a class or two this summer, you will not fall behind if you reduce your academic load that first semester.
• Strengthen your college application by taking a college course before finishing high school! Select your courses carefully, in consultation with your high school teachers and counselors, to show your academic forte.
If students have completed the tenth grade with a grade of B or better in college prep courses, they are encouraged to apply to the Catholic University of America's Summer College program.
Tuition: $880 per credit hour
Application fee: $25 non refundable application fee

ENGINEERING NEW FRONTIERS - Rising High School Juniors and Seniors
Sunday, July 22 - Saturday, July 28, 2012
Tuition Cost: $550 per person (includes camp, room, board and outside activities)
Engineering New Frontiers (ENF) is a weeklong, residential summer camp for rising high-school juniors and seniors held on the campus of The Catholic University of America from TBA.
At ENF, students will work closely with CUA engineering faculty members to explore the wide variety of engineering opportunities in our society. Through classes, demonstrations, and hands-on experiments, students will experience what college engineering majors and professional engineers do. Living on campus, students also get a "taste" of college and exposure to the best of Washington, D.C., including special museum tour, sporting events, and various other safe recreational activities.

EXPERIENCES IN ARCHITECTURE 2012
Sunday, July 09 - Saturday, July 27, 2012
Tuition Cost: TBA
The Experiences in Architecture program at The Catholic University of America is an intense three-week workshop for students interested in architecture or other design related fields. Students are exposed to both the academics and the professional sides of the architecture arena, as the city of Washington, D.C., becomes their classroom.
The Experiences in Architecture program will better prepare you for the rigors of architecture school, giving you a head start, as well as acquaint you with campus life at the university level. Students, who have participated in EiA's summer workshop, or a similar pre-college program, are better prepared for success at the university level.
